The Light
Good news still happens every day. Stories of faith, miracles, church growth, and kindness from around the world.
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5
Why The Light exists
The mainstream news cycle is shaped by what grabs attention — conflict, controversy, catastrophe. We don't pretend otherwise: 3611 News reports on biblical signs of the times, and many of those signs are heavy. But Scripture is not a doom-loop. The same Bible that names wars, famines, and persecutions also names rivers of living water, widows giving their last coin, and the Spirit poured out on all flesh.
The Light is our second feed: real, verified stories of Christian faith and goodness happening right now. Missionaries reaching unreached language groups. Churches planted in cities where there was no church. Believers giving away kidneys, fostering children, feeding the hungry, forgiving the unforgivable. Miracles too, when we can find them attested. These stories are signs of God's kingdom advancing in our generation — and they deserve to be told.
We curate. Every story in The Light has been reviewed against the same brand-safety rules as the rest of the site (no conspiracy, no political partisanship, no date-setting, Scripture cited accurately). What survives is what you see below.
What goes in each category
- Faith in Action
- Missionaries, humanitarian outreach, community service driven by Christian conviction. Examples: a church plant in a closed country, a believer fostering 30 children, a Christian medical clinic in an unreached region.
- Miracles & Testimonies
- Healings, answered prayers, personal transformation. We require a named witness or documented source — not anonymous hearsay. When uncertain, we note “testimony” explicitly.
- Church Growth
- Revivals, mass baptisms, church plants, persecuted-church victories. Numbers wherever available, sourced from denominational reports or mission organizations.
- Culture & Inspiration
- Christian artists, athletes, scientists, leaders making a public Christian witness in their field. Stories of integrity, courage, and gospel proclamation in unexpected places.
- Acts of Kindness
- Everyday Christians serving neighbors, strangers, and enemies in small but visible ways. The cumulative weight of these stories is the witness of the church.
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
