Who we are

3611 News (“we”, “us”) operates this website at 3611news.com. We aggregate news and pair it with biblical commentary. This page describes what data we collect and why.

What we collect

  • Email address— only when you choose to subscribe. Used to send updates about the site.
  • Feedback you submit— ratings, free-text responses, and an optional name and email. Used to improve the site.
  • Server logs— IP address, user agent, URL, and timestamp on every request. Standard web-server logging used to debug, prevent abuse, and rate-limit forms.
  • Cookies— only the minimum needed for anonymous usage analytics (Vercel Analytics) and, if advertising is enabled, cookies set by Google AdSense.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views, measure performance, and understand which articles readers engage with. Vercel Analytics does not use cross-site tracking cookies. Aggregated usage data is retained by Vercel.

Advertising

The site is supported by display advertising. We use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising network operated by Google. AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies by visiting aboutads.info.

For more on how Google uses data when you use partner sites or apps, see Google's policies.

If you visit from the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, or California, you'll see a consent banner the first time you arrive, managed by Google's Privacy & Messaging tool (IAB TCF v2.2). You can accept, reject, or change your settings at any time from that banner.

How we store data

Subscriber emails and feedback submissions are stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL hosted in the EU). We never sell or share your email. We never use your email for purposes you did not subscribe for.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from updates at any time using the link in any email we send. You can request deletion of your email or feedback record at any time by contacting us via the feedback page with the subject line “data deletion”.

Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA, including the right to access, correct, and delete personal data we hold about you. Contact us via the feedback page to exercise these rights.
