Paris police asks major festivals be cancelled due to relentless heatwave

Paris police has asked several organisers to cancel several public events meant to be held on the weekend of June 27, including the pride march and the Solidays music festival. The police have said that if organisers did not comply, they would be banned.

This comes as French emergency services and hospitals are overwhelmed due to record-breaking temperatures. FRANCE 24's Emerald Maxwell tells us more from Paris.
